Multi Spring Mechanical Seals
Multi Spring Mechanical Seals use several small coil springs arranged uniformly around the shaft to provide even closing force on the seal faces. This design ensures stable performance, making them ideal for high-speed, high-pressure, and demanding industrial applications.
Main Components
Rotary Face (Primary Ring) — rotates with the shaft
Stationary Face (Mating Ring) — fixed in housing
Multiple Coil Springs — provide uniform axial force
Drive Collar / Retainer — transmits torque
Secondary Seals (O-rings / Gaskets) — prevent leakage
Gland Plate — mounts seal to equipment
Working Principle
The multiple springs apply equal pressure around the circumference, pressing the rotating face against the stationary face. A thin fluid film forms between the faces, providing lubrication while preventing leakage.
